Five Under Fifty - Fun with Fashion Under 100!

Today I get to collaborate with one of favorite fashion bloggers.  Actually, Dana's blog, Fashion Under 100, is the only fashion blog I read.  She has a way of making it accessible to clueless gals like me.  You may also know her as the lovely Ms. Sloth over at Weddingbee.  I thought it would be fun for us to come up with a Five Under Fifty collection that showed the links between fashion and home decorating.  Head on over to her blog to see how she interpreted this collection into a wearable collection!

Since we're solidly into the fall (thought it may not always feel like it, Hello warm front!), I decided to focus on items that would help you spruce for the holidays and take you from Thanksgiving through New Year's.   I chose  richly colored items that transition from autumn to winter.  I also paid attention to textures that read as warm (felt and knubby yarn).  If your furniture is neutral, these small seasonal pops of color will translate the holiday festivity well.  I love the repetition of the square shapes, and the versatility of pieces that can be used in a den, family room, or bedroom.

  2. I'm so behind on decorating this year. I waited until last minute to even put anything OUTSIDE my house. Nothing inside as of yet! EEK!
